The Dawn Chasers series is brought to you by The Outer Edge (www.the-outeredge.co.uk).  Now in our tenth year, we have designed and delivered numerous outdoor challenge events across the UK for large national and smaller local charities. Having previously delivered a wide range of events (zip slides, three day bike rides, bespoke rope challenges and adventure-race style challenges including mountain biking, canoeing and archery), we have decided to focus our efforts into the Dawn Chasers series and delivering our first love and core service, charity abseils.

Some of the Dawn Chasers events are 'Open'- attracting individuals as well as charity supporters and others can be taken on as Exclusive events for your organisation. Some are mass participation and others designed for small groups, ideal for corporate or major donors. Keep an eye on this page for new information for charities as each of the Dawn Chasers events are launched. Our mass participation events will welcome official charities partnerships - information about how to apply will be posted here.

Night Hikes

The Night Hikes are tough mountain challenges, currently run on Dartmoor and in the Brecon Beacons. They aim to appeal to corporate groups and individual supporters who have perhaps taken on walks/treks in the past or those seeking the latest endurance challenge. The challenge is tough; we might be rewarded with a cloudless, starlit night and an awesome sunrise or we could spend twelve hours only being able to see the back of the person 10ft in front of us. What is certain, is that your supporters will feel a massive sense of achievement and experience incredible camaraderie with their fellow 'Dawn Chasers'.

Night Climb and Cliff Face Sleepover

This is our flagship event and is, quite possibly, the most mentally and emotionally challenging in the Dawn Chasers Series. It is ideal for major donors and CEO’s/MD’s of corporate partners who are in search of something truly unique and adventurous to support your charity.     We are proud to offer what we believe to be the only event like this in the UK. Not many people can say that they’ve climbed 175ft at night by head torch and then slept the rest of the night on a thin piece of nylon suspended from the rock face! It will take nerve, strength and determination.      This event is for just two people at a time. No climbing experience is necessary as they will receive full training during the day in preparation for the epic night ahead. They will be very well looked after by an experienced team, with hotel accommodation the night before, breakfasts and a three course meal are included in the price.
